Kelvin - Devlog 04

Week 04

15 - 21 Mar

This week I started by writing up my development blog for the week 3 because I like the weekly recap style of my dev blog, this went on for about 2 days and once I had finished I asked Lorne if he was one being the level designer and he was so I was at a stump of what to do.

So I look at what everyone else was up to and Brad was still modeling and Yvie was on UI design so I was discussing with Lorne on the music and sounds for the game.

On Wednesday I decided to do the SFX for the game until something else urgent needs to be done, So I spent that day making a list of sounds needed.

Not much happened in this week for my development blog, All it consisted of was finding sounds effects and putting them into adobe audition and tweaking the ones that were going to be used for ambient noise, So as I looked through websites and websites for royalty free sounds I ran some of them by Lorne to see if thats what he wanted for that specific sound, A few of them were spot on but the other ones he wanted them to be different which I understood.

I found a gun cocking sound effect to use for the tile being locked into place, but Lorne was thinking of a brick being slid on the ground to get more of the concrete sound effect, So from the feedback I went on looking for one exactly like it but I had found something similar to it but it was just a bit long so I took it into audition and worked on shortening it and making it sound like it belongs.

I spent that rest of the week working on some audio for the game but didn't quite get everything audio wise done due to work some days.
